North East Rural Awards 2017

Thursdays Night saw the return of the North East Rural awards hosted at MacDonald Linden Hall for the second year now. An evening promoting and hailing the importance of the rural community in the North East of England. With 10 awards to single out the effort put in by rural businesses and individuals across our region.

Our very own Peter Howie came away with “Farmer of the Year”. Pete, the 4th generation of Howies at Morwick,  joined the farm business in 2013 to work full-time after completing a degree in Agriculture at Harper Adams University in Shropshire. Pete is fully involved on the farm in all aspects. From livestock care and nutrition, harvest, working the land, showing cattle and milking our award winning dairy herd.

Well done Pete!
